Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Game drive in Tarangire

On day 1 we will drive to Tarangire National Park, for excellent game viewing and spend a night in a lodge beautifully set inside the park with stunning views and a unique atmosphere.

Day 2:  Game drive in Lake Manyara

We will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of the game drive to watch teems of birdlife plus spotting one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. You can also be lucky to watch large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. Late afternoon we make a short journey from the park to our Luxury lodge at Karatu.

Day 3:  Game drive in Serengeti

On our way to Serengeti National Park, we will have an opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge.
It is within this steep-sided ravine that Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries in the late 1950s.

Here in a small museum, we are able to see evidence of our ancestors that have been dated back 2.5 million years. After lunch, we drive into the Serengeti itself, and the rest of the afternoon is spent game viewing in the vast plain that contains stands of acacia trees and the occasional kopje. You can also watch plenty of resident animals, such as giraffes, buffalo, and elephants, and many large predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 4: Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari.

Serengeti Balloon Safari is probably the most beautiful balloon experience in wildlife safari in Tanzania and the ultimate safari style which makes you enjoy the most beautiful migration of wildebeests through the endless plain of Serengeti from the air.
Serengeti Balloon Safaris will collect you by safari vehicle from your central Serengeti lodge or camp and transfer you to our launch site near Masai Kopjes. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing, and watch the inflation of your balloon.
At dawn we take off, rising as the sun rises and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning will take us.
Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. After breakfast, you are taken to the rendezvous point to meet with your driver guide and continue with your full-day game drives.

Day 5:  Serengeti game drive and Masai Safari Experience in Ngorongoro.

We start the day with a game drive in Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special destination because it inhabits both the wildlife and the Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro, we have a chance to learn about Masai culture.
After stopping at the entrance gate, we will have a chance to learn more about the fascinating volcanic landscape. We will then drive around the crater rim to see the diverse species of wildlife specifically the herd of buffaloes and wildebeests.

Day 6: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater provides a great game-viewing all year round. The wildlife in the crater makes a permanent ecosystem because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons.
Finally, we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards (if you are lucky).
The only animal you won’t see in the Carter is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steep sides of the crater. Late afternoon we travel just outside of Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Arusha.

Day 7: Departure day.

Private transfer to JRO, fly back home.
